Biography

Gianni Pasolini is an associate professor at the Department of Electrical, Electronic and Information Engineering (DEI) of the University of Bologna, where he has been teaching telecommunications since 2003. He currently holds the "Signal Processing" course at the School of Engineering of the same University. His research interests are in wireless communication systems, the Internet of Things, digital signal processing and intelligent transportation systems. He also carries out research activities in national and European projects, in close collaboration with some of the main companies and service operators in the field of telecommunications (Siemens, Telecom Italia, Thales Alenia Space, MetaSystem). In 2018-2020 he was Vice President of the Italian Chapter IEEE ComSoc/VTS. He is currently vice chair of the IEEE/RCC Special Interest Group (SIG) on THz communications. He is he Editor for the IEEE Open Journal of the Communications Society (IEEE OJ-COM)
